Music Video Casting.

To stay true to the original band Nirvana, I decided to cast my music video as having 3 male band members. I chose males that I knew had an interest in rock / grunge music so they understood the mise en scene I wanted to create, such as the dark, basic clothing and the urban imagery I wanted to include such as the busy road with lots of traffic.
A bonus of chosing these specific individuals is that all of them have musical skills and knowledge of rock instruments, for instance, all of them can play guitar so I chose 2 of the individuals to play guitar during the filming of the music video; to stick to music video conventions of using musical performance.
This is how the band looked on the first day of filming.

David:
I cast David as the lead singer of the band, mining the singing of Kurt Cobain. On the first day of filming, David wore plain dark clothing, featuring typical grunge fashion items such as faded jeans, an olive green shirt and a leather jacket. To add to the rock n' roll look, Davids hair had not been styled and he wasn't clean shaven, to add to the appearance of being 'messy'.

George:
I cast George as Dave Grohl, seeing as we couldn't carry a full drum kit around many locations on multiple days, we decided that it was better that he played guitar instead, as thats one of the key instruments in the song.
On the day he wore a basic plaid shirt and blue denim jeans, typical of the grunge style, he also wore a t-shirt with some text.

Josh:
I cast Josh for the part of  Krist Novoselic, Josh also played guitar that typically Novoselic would during the video. On this day of filming Josh wore acid wash jeans, a graphic prit shirt and a black hoodie.
